Charisma Carpenter

 

 Charisma Carpenter, born July 23rd 1970 She is an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013) as well as Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012 ).

 



 

  Carpenter was the daughter of Christine Carpenter (a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter (a salesman) Born in Las Vegas. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. [6] She was also part of the group of dancers and song-makers which was throughout the Las Vegas Valley when Carpenter was just nine years old.

 



 

  Carpenter was Carpenter was 15 years old, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico[2] and later to San Diego, California. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe after her graduation. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics teacher, in addition to property management. She played cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.

 



 

  Henry Hubbard Jr. was an ex- San Diego officer and serial rapist who sought to subdue her and two male acquaintances while swimming in San Diego in 1991. In the course of the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were shot, causing Hubbard to flee the scene; both friends survived the attack. Hubbard was detained and was convicted, then sentenced to 56 years ' imprisonment for a string of sexual assaults. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach which he had left on the beach, and the flashlight turned out to be one of the key pieces of evidence used against him
