Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Her debut came in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donnevan's role in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to take on the role of model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, which was a principle she applied in her acting. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the casting director. Doody's name appeared as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors in 1986. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the character Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors that have played James Bond. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was an international star. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's lover and agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody came back to acting in 2003 with a minor performance in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was set to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. In 2011, she started the first season of two on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film.
